Loy Excellentia Initiative invites African, Black, and Caribbean post-secondary students in the Brandon community to a free Professional Development Workshop on Saturday, September 12, 2026, at Brandon University.

The workshop will feature practical sessions led by campus, community, and industry professionals. Topics will include academic success, career and workplace preparation, financial literacy, student well-being and healthy relationships, leadership and productivity, and immigration, settlement, and community supports. Participants will also have opportunities to connect with professionals, mentors, service providers, and other students.
