Assiniboine Riverbank Trail System

The Assiniboine Riverbank Trail System spans 17 km throught the heart of the City of Brandon.  Pathway paving, lighting and connectivity are being rebuilt following severe flooding and significant dike construction.  The trail system ranges from natural river bottom forest to paved, lit walkways.  There is also a playground, outdoor fitness equipment and picnic gazebos.  For more information or a trail brochure, visit the Riverbank Discovery Centre or please call 204-729-2141 or 1-888-799-1111.  You can also download a copy of the trail brochure at



Brandon Hills Wildlife Management Area
Brandon Hills Wildlife Management Area is located 10 km south of Brandon on Highway #10, 3 km east on Beresford Road and 1 km south. This area is home to a variety of plant and animal species and offers the perfect setting for recreational activities such as hiking, cross-country skiing, cycling and bird watching. The trails are made up of loops ranging from 2.5 km to 7.5 km. Maps of the area are available at the Riverbank Discovery Centre and more information on the area can be obtained from Manitoba Natural Resources at 1-800-214-6497.
