Brandon Folk, Music & Art Festival

The Brandon Folk Festival is held under the trees at the Keystone Centre in July, featuring folk musicians and artists on stage, with vendors, workshops and other interesting activities held off-stage throughout the weekend! You can attend for a day witha day pass, or stay for the weekend in the temporary campground!

The Street Party will showcase acclaimed Canadian musicians celebrating the launch of a new AGSM Billboard Installation that highlights the presence and importance of Indigenous cultures in Brandon and the Westman region. Treesblood Festival

Sophisticated Performances

Brandon University School of Music

The internationally renowned School of Music graduates students who go on to enjoy careers as professional orchestral musicians, opera singers, solo and chamber musicians, touring jazz and popular musicians, and celebrated music educators around the world. The School hosts hundreds of public performances throughout the year on campus at the acoustically superb Lorne Watson Recital Hall and next door at the Western Manitoba Centennial Auditorium. Brandon Jazz Festival
March 14 - 16, 2019

The Brandon Jazz Festival is an annual non-competitive event. It is an educational forum where young musicians come to perform for adjudicators and receive extensive feedback on their playing and singing. The top of the line adjudicators are professional musicians as well as educators from across Canada and the United States. Throughout the three-day festival, there are many discussion sessions with featured guest speakers, clinics, workshops with adjudicators, and special evening concerts with featured guest artists.
