Art Gallery of Southwestern Manitoba

Few public galleries in Canada can boast a history that dates back to 1907, and fewer still can accredit a community- based enthusiasm for visual arts for their very existence. The AGSM remains steadfastly rooted in the community that built it, growing together in complexity and diversity. The Art Gallery offers contemporary art exhibitions of regional, national and international significance with an emphasis on Manitoba art. The Gift Shop features works by Manitoban Artisans, including jewellery, ceramics, painting, and textiles. Simply stated, the AGSM remains committed to promoting and nurturing the visual arts in Brandon and southwest Manitoba through outreach, education and exhibition. Glen P. Sutherland Gallery of Art

The Glen P. Sutherland Gallery of Art is a unique facility operated for and by the students in Brandon University’s Visual and Aboriginal Arts programs. Located at the South West corner of the campus at BU, this important community resource produces exhibitions of students and staff open to the public between September and April. This Internationally renowned and recognized School of Music produces Graduates that move on to become engaged in major orchestras and professional opera companies across the globe. The students host numerous public performances throughout the year on campus at the Lorne Watson Recital Hall and next door at the Westman Centennial Auditorium. Lorne Watson Recital Hall

Feast your ears on professional calibre musical performances in all genres at the Lorne Watson Recital Hall. Located in the Queen Elizabeth ll Music Building, the School of Music at Brandon University has, since 1906, proudly nurtured a reputation as one the foremost institutions of musical instruction in Canada. Many prominent solo, chamber and orchestral musicians, music educators, jazz musicians, art administrators and other leaders in the arts of have called Brandon University home. The Lorne Watson Recital Hall is noted for its rich, warm tone and has been specially designed for performance. Western Manitoba Centennial Auditorium

The WMCA is Western Manitoba’s primary venue for the performing arts, community events, and professional entertainers. Art Gallery of Southwestern Manitoba
